As a healthcare provider, you’re on the front lines of today’s youth mental health crisis. Newport Healthcare can ensure that your patients receive the highest-quality care, provided by a team that is truly passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives.
Why Refer to Newport?
When you refer to Newport, you’re referring to a program that addresses the whole person through an integrated, evidence-based approach; communicates with you as a valued member of the treatment team; and provides multiple layers of accessibility that optimize access to care for your patients.
We’re dedicated to serving as a resource for physicians, as well as the young people and families they refer to us. Our mission is to help young people find sustainable recovery from behavioral health challenges, and we view our relationships with our referring healthcare providers as an essential part of that mission.
Our Relationship with You
Our team works hand in hand with physicians and other healthcare providers so that your patients who come to us—whether they’re struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or another mental health diagnosis—experience an easy and supported process.
Excellent Care
That’s Also Affordable
We work with most major insurance companies, both in and out of network, to optimize access to care for families. Insurance companies are much more likely to provide coverage for behavioral healthcare when a program has been vetted and meets the highest standards of care. Newport’s innovative approach and dedication to excellence has been recognized with the Gold Seal of Approval® from the Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest healthcare accrediting body. Newport meets the Joint Commission’s rigorous performance guidelines for safety and quality across all individual programs.
The Newport Healthcare Center for Research and Innovation partners with a third-party academic institution, Drexel University’s Center for Family Intervention Science, to measure and publish our outcomes data, which consistently validates the success of our treatment. Despite the severity of the challenges young people face and the increasing acuity of their diagnoses, Newport’s treatment continues to yield significant improvements in depression, anxiety, and well-being.

Building a Foundation for Your Patient’s Success
We know you have many options when considering where to refer your patients. When we invite you to refer to us, it’s because we truly believe that Newport provides the most effective, compassionate, and clinically sound treatment available. Our approach heals the underlying trauma and attachment wounds that catalyze mental health and co-occurring disorders, leading to sustainable, long-term recovery.
We know this not just from our outcomes data, but also because we see firsthand, every day, how young people change and grow during their time with us, building resilience, healthy coping tools, and new sense of purpose and meaning.
Healing Environments
Trauma-informed care encompasses the environment in which treatment takes place. That’s why our locations are in beautiful settings, with art and music studios, gyms, and peaceful spaces for yoga and meditation. Our classrooms are outfitted with the latest technology, and our culinary staff create nutritious meals using organic, locally sourced ingredients.
Staff-to-Client Ratio
We pride ourselves on maintaining industry-leading staff-to-client ratios. Each client is surrounded by a dedicated treatment team that includes a psychiatrist, a family therapist, doctors and nurse practitioners, experiential therapists, counselors, and academic teachers and tutors. Referring providers are an essential part of the treatment team.
Academics/Life Skills
Our robust academic and life skills programming is designed to support executive functioning, motivation, and engagement. As our clients’ well-being increases, their joy in learning returns as well. We ensure that the young people in our care continue to progress toward their educational and career goals, and are set up for success in their next steps.
Integrated Approach
Our integrated, whole-person approach encompasses a wide variety of clinical, experiential, and academic modalities. We address every aspect of a young person’s well-being—psychological, physical, emotional, relational, and educational—building their resilience and self-regulation so they are equipped to navigate the unique challenges of their life stage.
Family as Key
Newport’s differentiated clinical model views family as central to long-term, sustainable healing. The groundbreaking Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) methodology is a central component of our approach, and is proven to successfully address youth suicidality by repairing ruptures in the parent-child relationship. Our clinicians receive ongoing training and consultation from ABFT’s co-founders.
At Newport, we take a team approach to get each and every client where they need to be—to health.
