Research shows that close to half of US employees are struggling at work due to their child’s mental health. Newport Healthcare supports HR departments and EAP administrators to guide employees in crisis to treatment and resources that provide sustainable recovery.
How Newport Can Help You
Do you have employees who often miss work or are distracted on the job because of their own or their child’s mental health challenges? The parents and young adults employed by your company may not know what is available to them through their EAP and other wellness benefits.
As an employer, you can help direct a young adult or worried working parent toward tangible resources. Newport Healthcare offers mental health treatment for teens and young adults, and we work with most major insurance companies, both in and out of network. The majority of young people in our care achieve long-term recovery, reducing the burden of further mental healthcare cost for employers and insurance companies.
Our Relationship with You
Newport can serve as a resource not only for individual employees who are in crisis, but also for your entire company or organization.
Excellent Care
That’s Also Affordable
Newport in in-network with many major insurance companies, and our UR team is highly skilled in negotiating single-case agreements with out-of-network health plans. As you know, insurance companies are much more likely to provide coverage when a program has been vetted and meets the highest standards of care. Newport’s innovative approach and dedication to excellence has been recognized with the Gold Seal of Approval® from the Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest healthcare accrediting body. Newport meets the Joint Commission’s rigorous performance guidelines for safety and quality across all individual programs.
The Newport Healthcare Center for Research and Innovation partners with a third-party academic institution, Drexel University’s Center for Family Intervention Science, to measure and publish our outcomes data, which consistently validates the success of our treatment. Despite the severity of the challenges young people face and the increasing acuity of their diagnoses, Newport’s treatment continues to yield significant improvements in depression, anxiety, and well-being.

Staff-to-Client Ratio
We pride ourselves on maintaining industry-leading staff-to-client ratios. Each client is surrounded by a dedicated treatment team that includes a psychiatrist, a family therapist, doctors and nurse practitioners, experiential therapists, counselors, and academic teachers and tutors. Referring providers are an essential part of the treatment team.
Academics/Life Skills
Our robust academic and life skills programming is designed to support executive functioning, motivation, and engagement. As our clients’ well-being increases, their joy in learning returns as well. We ensure that the young people in our care continue to progress toward their educational and career goals, and are set up for success in their next steps.
Integrated Approach
Our integrated, whole-person approach encompasses a wide variety of clinical, experiential, and academic modalities. We address every aspect of a young person’s well-being—psychological, physical, emotional, relational, and educational—building their resilience and self-regulation so they are equipped to navigate the unique challenges of their life stage.
Family as Key
Newport’s differentiated clinical model views family as central to long-term, sustainable healing. The groundbreaking Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) methodology is a central component of our approach, and is proven to successfully address youth suicidality by repairing ruptures in the parent-child relationship. Our clinicians receive ongoing training and consultation from ABFT’s co-founders.
When I first discovered Newport, I knew this was a place I would send my own child. I feel so privileged to witness young people and families finding joy and healing.
