Residential Program for Teens and Young Adults
Mental health struggles can devastate lives at any age. Residential treatment provides the tools young people need to address not just their symptoms, but the underlying trauma that contributes to mental health conditions and destructive behavior.
Newport Healthcare’s residential treatment program offers children ages 7–11, teens ages 12–18, and young adults ages 18–35 a welcoming, comfortable space to heal from mental health and co-occurring disorders.

What Is Residential Treatment?
Residential treatment centers are home-like, live-in, and gender-specific facilities that provide a structured and supportive environment where young people can begin to heal. A residential setting offers intensive therapeutic interventions, 24/7 care, and a supportive community of peers facing similar challenges.
This immersive setting allows for a comprehensive approach to treatment, where a multidisciplinary team of experts address underlying issues that lead to mental health issues and maladaptive behavior. During residential treatment, young people develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience and self-confidence, and learn essential skills needed to thrive in their next stage of life.
Residential treatment is the best option for those who are not improving with outpatient care, are experiencing significant levels of mental health distress, have co-occurring mental health and substance use issues, or are a risk to themselves or others. A mental health evaluation will help determine the appropriate level of care.
