My 70 something days I spent at Newport were really amazing and helped me with a lot of underlying trauma that was fueling my substance abuse. While I was there I made meaningful relationships with the other guys there while the staff was always there and willing to help in any situation! which was really helpful on those darker days of early recovery. Personally, the most beneficial thing that I got the most out of was the family therapy. I can actually talk to my mom now which is sick, before my stay at Newport we couldn’t even look at each other but now we actually have a healthy mother-son relationship.
