Building a Foundation for Your Students’ Success
Entering treatment doesn’t have to interrupt students’ academic progress. At Newport, we collaborate with schools to ensure that young people continue to reach their academic goals during their time with us.
While supporting teens and their families on the path to healing, we set students up for success once they leave treatment, with the self-regulation skills, academic abilities, and self-confidence to launch into adulthood and a bright future.
Staff-to-Client Ratio
We pride ourselves on maintaining industry-leading staff-to-client ratios. Clients are surrounded by dedicated care teams that include psychiatrist, therapists, doctors and nurse practitioners, and academic teachers. Referring providers are an essential part of the care team.

Academics and Life Skills
Our robust academic and life skills programming is designed to support executive functioning, motivation, and engagement. As our clients’ well-being increases, their joy in learning returns as well.
We ensure that the young people in our care continue to progress toward their educational and career goals, and are set up for success in their next steps.

Integrated Approach
Our integrated, whole-person approach encompasses a wide variety of clinical, experiential, and academic modalities.
We address every aspect of a young person’s well-being—psychological, physical, emotional, relational, and educational—building their resilience and self-regulation so they are equipped to navigate the unique challenges of their life stage.

Family as Key
Newport’s differentiated clinical model views family as central to long-term, sustainable healing.
The groundbreaking Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) methodology is a central component of our approach, and is proven to successfully address youth suicidality by repairing ruptures in the parent-child relationship. Our clinicians receive ongoing training and consultation from ABFT’s co-founders.

Healing Environments
Trauma-informed care encompasses the environment in which treatment takes place. That’s why our locations are in beautiful settings, with art and music studios, gyms, and peaceful spaces for yoga and meditation. Our classrooms are outfitted with the latest technology, and our culinary staff create nutritious meals using organic, locally sourced ingredients.

Seeing that lightbulb go on for the kids is what our teachers live for. There is nothing like seeing these kids grow and recognize their own personal potential.
