Duties & Responsibilities
As a therapist on our team, your role will involve proactive communication and relationship-building with clients and their families. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions within the framework of our ABFT model.
- Leading new family orientations, welcome presentations, and family support groups to foster understanding and connection.
- Managing your schedule independently.
- Attending regular team and clinical supervision meetings.
- Representing Newport Healthcare at various trainings and conferences.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
- Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided.
- Willingness to be trained to provide family therapy within the framework of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
- Experience with individual, group, or family therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
- Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
