Non-Suicidal Self-Injury: Clinical Insights and Intervention Strategies

Virtual Event

August 22 @ 9:00 am 10:00 am PDT

Research shows that up to 80% of inpatient and 40% of outpatient clients have engaged in self-injurious behavior. Yet non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is an underrepresented topic in clinical training and evidence-based practice guidelines. In this webinar, participants will learn the function and signs of different types of NSSI, and become familiar with intervention techniques that can decrease patients’ risk and increase their healthy coping skills.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the function of NSSI and various types of related behaviors
  • Identify risk factors and signs of heightened risk
  • Apply effective, evidence-based practices for intervention

CE credits available for psychologists*, therapists*, counselors*, and social workers*.Please email event.support@newporthealthcare.com for continuing education details.*Dependent on location.
