Illuminating the Dark Shadows of Cyberaggression

Virtual Event

July 9, 2025 @ 9:00 am 10:00 am PDT

This webinar is part of our Summer Tour: Unplugged series. To see all the events in the lineup, visit newporthealthcare.com/summer-tour.

Cyber-aggression, including the cyberbullying behaviors prevalent on social media platforms, has emerged as an increasingly nefarious threat that appears associated with the rise in depression, anxiety, and self-harm among adolescents. While this link has not yet been consensually proven, robust inquiry and investigation strongly suggest a relationship.

In this session, Dr. Grant will provide evidence-based strategies and skills for identifying and addressing cyberaggressive incidents, including online bullying. He will also offer recommendations on designing and implementing effective policies and practices to prevent cyberaggression in various contexts, including the workplace.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Apply skills and strategies to protect against cyber-aggressive behaviors and events, including professional-based cyberaggression
  • Recognize and understand the various forms (both overt and subtle) of cyberaggression
  • Identify, assess, and address cyberaggressive events for clients, patients, students, teams, and/or staff
  • Incorporate evidence-based strategies in the design, implementation, and evaluation of effective cyberaggression policies and practices
