Harmonizing the Mind: Using Sound and Creative Expression to Support Regulation in Therapy

Virtual Event

October 23, 2025 @ 9:00 am 10:00 am PDT

This presentation introduces clinicians to the use of sound and creative expression as supportive tools for trauma treatment. Grounded in current research and ethical practice, these practical strategies are proven to enhance client regulation, especially when traditional talk therapy has been less effective. We’ll look at how to apply these techniques in a clinically appropriate way, and explore key considerations around scope of practice, cultural sensitivity, and informed consent.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how sound and creative expression can support regulation and trauma recovery in clinical settings
  • Identify at least two creative, evidence-informed interventions appropriate for clients impacted by trauma
  • Discuss ethical and cultural considerations when integrating these approaches into clinical practice
