Empowering 3E Clients: Strategies for Supporting Neurodivergent LGBTQ+ Youth

Virtual Event

June 26, 2025 @ 9:00 am 10:30 am PDT

Neurodiverse individuals are more likely to be LGBTQ+, which can add complexity to the journey of parenting these children and meeting their educational, psychological, and social-emotional needs. Understanding how to effectively support and advocate for the LGBTQ+, intellectually gifted, and neurodiverse population (known as thrice-exceptional or 3E) is an important skill set for parents, mental health professionals, and educational systems.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss strategies for ensuring that neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients get their needs met and their rights honored in school, work, and the community
  • Identify the terminology around LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent identities and practice how to use them effectively
  • Reference case examples to determine how to adapt common therapy techniques to best serve neurodivergent clients who are LGBTQ+

CE credits available for psychologists*, therapists*, counselors*, and social workers*. Please email event.support@newporthealthcare.com for continuing education details. *Dependent on location.
